Section 41A

      (a)      (1)      The office of State's Attorneys' Coordinator is created.

            (2)      The State's Attorneys' Coordinator shall be appointed by the State's Attorneys' Coordination Council and serves at the pleasure of the Council.

      (b)      A person is eligible to be State's Attorneys' Coordinator if, at the time of appointment, the person is admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland.

      (c)      The State's Attorneys' Coordinator shall receive the salary provided in the State budget. The State's Attorneys' Coordination Council shall, beginning with the fiscal year 1979, prepare and submit to the Governor a consolidated budget for the office.

      (d)      The State's Attorneys' Coordinator shall devote full time to his official duties and may not engage in the private practice of law.
