67-5741 - DELEGATION OF DUTIES -- BONDING OF AGENCY PERSONNEL
The
director of the department of administration may delegate to any employees of
the division of purchasing such authority as he deems reasonable and proper
for the effective administration of this act. The director may utilize the
services of officers and employees of any of the state departments and any
other governmental agencies of the state receiving surplus property under the
provisions of this act, and all such departments and agencies are hereby
authorized to assist and cooperate with the director in the administration of
this act. Any person in the employ of the division of purchasing agency may in
the discretion of the governor be required to execute and deliver to the
governor a bond payable to the state in such amount as may be fixed by the
governor, conditioned upon the proper care, disbursement, and accounting of
all funds and the proper care, distribution, and accounting of all property
received from the United States under the authority of this act; provided,
however, the governor may accept an adequate indemnity bond covering all or
part of the persons so accountable and responsible.
