I am something of a late bloomer. I graduated from Mariemont High School in 1981. I went to college briefly at Kent State University, but was unsuccessful. I just didn't know what I wanted to do. So, like many young people without a college degree, I took jobs where I could find them. I worked as a landscaper, a paving contractor, a bartender, a car salesman, in restaurants, and as a counter jockey for small businesses.

For ten years I was a licensed Optician, and worked for a local Optical company with several locations. There I learned alot about what makes a small business run, and the pressures involved in an enterpreneurial exterprise.

In the early nineties I faced up to the reality of the limitations I had imposed upon myself by failing to obtain a formal education. So I went back to school and worked very hard. I didn't stop until I had got all the way through law school.

I did my stint working for others for seven years, and took the plunge into my own office in 2007. Fingers crossed.

In the meantime I married and have a daughter who is two years old. I have also changed my view on what is important in life. Kent State University 1981-84, Received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati, where I majored in History, worked hard, and graduated with High Honors in 1995.
