Taylor Laumann Conner is originally from Thomasville, North Carolina, where she graduated from Thomasville High School. Taylor pursued her college education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she obtained her bachelor of arts degree, double majoring in Political Science and Journalism. After completing an internship with NIKE and the WNBA, she immediately began her legal education at Campbell University's Norman A. Wiggins School of Law where she focused on her goal of becoming a trial attorney. During law school, Taylor worked with the intellectual property firm of Adams, Schwartz and Evans, in Charlotte, North Carolina and with the Education Section of the North Carolina Attorney General's Office in Raleigh. While in school, Taylor received the NC Academy of Trial Lawyers Advocacy Award and national recognition for a paper titled "Intellectual Property Issues Faced by Professional Sports Teams" which she submitted to ASCAP's Nathan Burkan Memorial Competition.
In 2007, Taylor was elected by her colleagues to serve as President of the Cabarrus County Bar Association, District 19A. Taylor is a current member of the North Carolina Bar Association, including the sections for criminal law and sports and entertainment. Other memberships include the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. She was also named in the 2007/2008 Honors Edition of Cambridge Who's Who Among Executive and Professional Women.
