The Department, in consultation with the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of Maryland, the Maryland Hospital Association, the Maryland Association of Health Maintenance Organizations, the Health Facilities Association of Maryland, the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Homes for the Aging, the Maryland State Dental Association, the Maryland Nurses Association, the Maryland Funeral Directors Association, the Maryland Podiatrists Association, the affected boards, the Association for Practitioners for Infection Control, and a consumer of health care services, shall develop a notice written in layman's language that explains the Centers for Disease Control's guidelines on universal precautions.
