The Department may inspect any facility offering continuing care, examine its books and records, and audit or observe any service rendered pursuant to an agreement. However, if a continuing care facility or a portion of a facility is subject to licensure by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the Department shall coordinate its inspection of that facility or portion of that facility with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to avoid duplication.
