49-402B - OPTIONAL BIENNIAL REGISTRATION
(1) At the option of the
applicant, any vehicle registered under the provisions of section 49-402(1)
through (5), Idaho Code, may be registered for a period of two (2) years for a
fee that is double the fee currently assessed for annual registration of the
vehicle in section 49-402, Idaho Code.
(2) If any vehicle registered under a special license plate program is
registered for a two (2) year period as provided in this section, the
registrant shall also be required to pay the special programs fees for a two
(2) year period.
(3) The additional fee collected for emergency medical services pursuant
to section 49-452, Idaho Code, shall also be doubled for any registration
issued under the provisions of this section.
(4) The administrative fee collected for issuance of a motor vehicle
registration shall be the same as for an annual registration and shall not be
doubled or in any way increased solely because of registration under the
provisions of this section.
