44-1406 - DAMAGES IN CASE OF DEATH -- MAXIMUM AMOUNT -- EXEMPTION FROM DEBTS OF DECEASED
DAMAGES IN CASE OF DEATH -- MAXIMUM AMOUNT -- EXEMPTION FROM
DEBTS OF DECEASED. The amount of damages to be recovered in case of death
shall not exceed the sum of [five thousand dollars (]$5000[)]. The damages
recovered on account of death shall not be subject to the debts of the
deceased.
