Before entering upon the duties of his office,
the director shall swear or affirm that he holds no other public office, nor
any position under any political committee or organization. The affirmation
shall be filed in the office of the secretary of state. The director shall be
bonded to the state of Idaho in the time, form and manner prescribed by
chapter 8, title 59, Idaho Code. The premium on the bond shall be a charge
against the state, to be audited, allowed and paid as are other claims, out of
the state highway and state aeronautics accounts.
