39-3018 - CONDUCT OF STUDIES CONCERNING NUCLEAR ENERGY DEVELOPMENT
Each
of the several departments and agencies of this state, including specifically
the state department of environmental quality, the state department of labor
and industrial services, the state industrial commission, and the department
of commerce in the office of the governor, is directed:
(1) To initiate and to pursue continuing studies as may be requested from
time to time by the nuclear energy commission relative to the need for changes
in the laws, regulations and programs administered by it so as to further the
development of the peaceful and productive uses of nuclear energy in this
state, and to make such recommendations, on the basis of such studies, for the
enactment of laws or amendments to law administered by it, and such proposals
for amendments to the regulations issued by it, as may appear necessary and
appropriate.
(2) To otherwise cooperate with the nuclear energy commission, the office
of nuclear energy development, and the state radiation control agency in the
performance of their duties as set out in this act.
