(1) There is hereby created a fund in the
state treasury to be designated the food safety fund. The fund shall consist
of:
(a) All fees collected from licensing food establishments; and
(b) Any other donations, grants, gifts or appropriations.
(2) The money in the fund shall be appropriated to the department of
health and welfare to cover a portion of the cost of conducting food safety
inspections in food establishments, or to reimburse the department's designee
for conducting such inspections.
