38-1002 - PETITION FOR ORGANIZATION
For the purpose of the formation of
such stumpage district a petition shall be presented to the board of county
commissioners of the county in which said proposed stumpage district is
located, which petition shall set forth the object for the organization of the
said district, shall designate the boundaries thereof and set forth therein
approximately the number of acres of land to be stumped by the proposed
stumpage system; and shall also contain the names of all the freeholders
residing within said proposed district, so far as known, and the names and
post-office addresses of all owners and mortgagees of land within said
proposed district, so far as known, and shall contain a description of the
land sought to have the stumps removed therefrom. Said petition shall be
signed by a majority of the owners of the land in said proposed district and
shall pray that the same be organized under the provisions of this chapter.
