25-213 - SALE OF ANIMALS AFFECTED WITH COMMUNICABLE DISEASES
It shall be
unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, agent, or employee thereof,
knowingly to sell, offer to sell, or in any manner to part with to another,
any animal affected or infected with any contagious or communicable disease,
or with the disease of epithelioma of the eye, commonly known as "cancer eye,"
except for immediate slaughter, and in accordance with the meat inspection
regulations of the United States department of agriculture, or dispose of the
meat, milk or other products of any animal that may be affected or infected
with such contagious, infectious or communicable disease or with the disease
of epithelioma of the eye, commonly known as "cancer eye," for use as food or
for other purposes, except in such manner as shall be provided by the rules
and regulations of the division, or to dispose of to another in any manner an
animal or animals that may be in quarantine without notifying the purchaser of
the existence of such quarantine, or until such time as the quarantine shall
have been raised by the proper officer.
