19-5113 - INVESTIGATIONS -- AUTHORITY TO ADMINISTER OATHS -- SUBPOENAS
To
determine whether the standards, training, qualifications of instructors or
schools, the obligations of applicants for aid, or recipients of aid, are
being complied with and for such other purposes as the council deems necessary
and not inconsistent with the intent of this act, the director of the Idaho
state police or his authorized representative may administer oaths, take
depositions and/or issue subpoenas to compel the attendance of witnesses and
the production of books, papers, records, memoranda or other information. If
any person fails to comply with any subpoena issued under this section or
refuses to testify on any matter on which he lawfully may be interrogated,
compliance with such subpoena shall be sought in the district court wherein
such subpoena was served.
