| 7-1111 - COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS |
(1) Proceedings are commenced by either the filing of a verified voluntary acknowledgment of parentage executed by both the mother and father of the child; or by the filing of a verified complaint, alleging that the person named as defendant is the father of the child and petitioning the court to issue a summons. The service of summons, the complaint, and all pleadings shall be in accordance with the Idaho rules of civil procedure. (2) A voluntary acknowledgment of parentage may be executed by the mother, whether a minor or not, and the father, whether a minor or not, and regardless of the marital status of the mother or father. The acknowledgment shall be verified by both the mother and the father. |
